JOB SUMMARY

The System Administrator I performs centralized data center operations, system administration, and management of the business computing environment. The environment includes Microsoft Windows servers, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Office 365, VMware hosts, storage appliances, racks, and UPS.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

§  Perform system administration tasks.

§  Operational capacity planning, engineering appropriate physical hosts, virtual systems, appliances, and server environments.

§  Perform initial server builds, operating system installations, secure configuration and patching per security standards, turnover for administration and operations.

§  Develop security standards, operational procedures, and best practice documents.

§  Administer VMWare host, Microsoft servers, Microsoft Azure, and Office 365 environments.

§  Administer SAN and storage devices.

§  Plan, test and install server patching.

§  Administer centralized anti-virus and anti-malware systems.

§  Administer host intrusion detection and prevention systems.

§  Provide Operational Metrics & Reporting.

§  Support services like Active Directory, LDAP, SMTP, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and NTP.

§  Plan, integrate, and implement information systems infrastructure projects, including software applications to support the organization’s strategic objectives.

§  Assist with network design and implementation of architected network solutions in a client-server environment including networking hardware, software, protocols, and communication standards.

§  Monitor, analyze, and report network traffic patterns, as well as utilization of dedicated telecommunications equipment.

§  Manage and maintain quality of service for VoIP, Video, and Data on LAN/WAN.

§  Demonstrate the ability to make independent and appropriate decisions without direct supervision.

§  Ability to travel domestically and internationally.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

§  Associate degree or equivalent combination of work experience, education, and training.

§  Five years of successful experience in a similar role (with similar responsibilities.)

§  Solid understanding of TCP/IP, VLAN, and subnetting.

§  Managing Azure and Office 365 environment experience.

§  Microsoft Intune Experience.

§  PowerShell experience.

§  Active Directory, windows domain roles, and features administration.

§  Requires excellent oral and written communication skills and outstanding customer service orientation.

§  Must be able to function effectively in a variety of challenging situations and circumstances, including difficult project deadlines, demanding customers, tight budgets, and evolving goals and objectives.

§  Must be able to work with others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner.

§  Must be a results-oriented team player.

§  Ability to multi-task while solving issues quickly and efficiently.

§  Ability to listen to and objectively consider ideas and suggestions from others.

§  On-call and ability to work hours outside normal business according to business needs.

§  Microsoft MCSE certification is highly desired.

§  Hands-on experience with configuring and troubleshooting routing protocols.

§  Hands-on experience with IP networking including subnetting, tunneling, QoS, LAN, and WAN connectivity media.

§  Office 365/Azure administration.

§  VMWare, iSCSI SAN experience.

§  Advanced knowledge of best practices in Server, Virtualization, Network, and Cloud Architectures.

Bilingual in Spanish a plus

Range: $95,200 - $140,800
