JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the effective planning, directing, and coordinating of the day-to-day operations to meet the facility production and bagging requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
§ Plan, supervise, and direct the daily production operations.
§ Communicate daily with General Manager, Shipping Manager, Ripening Manager, and QA Supervisor on the status and quality of the product.
§ Review daily and weekly bagging orders to create and execute the bagging schedule.
§ Drive communication with Mission Corporate on order status.
§ Lead a team of floor helpers in day to day production functions including bagging, restacking, and repacking product.
§ Understand customer specifications.
§ Understand inventory management and FiFo process for fruit utilization.
§ Train and develop team members per Mission Produce standard operating procedures.
§ Schedule and oversee the preventative maintenance of bagging machines.
§ All other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
§ High School Diploma or 2 years of relevant experience.
§ Ability to be flexible with hours.
§ Effective interpersonal communication skills.
§ Experienced in Microsoft Office.
§ Bilingual in English and Spanish.
§ Forklift experience preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS
§ Ability to lift or move 25 to 50 pounds.
§ Ability to work in a temperature-controlled environment from 34°F – 42°F.
§ Safely work near moving mechanical parts and equipment.
