JOB SUMMARY

 

Identify, analyze, troubleshoot, plan, and complete preventative maintenance, repair, installation, and adjustment for refrigeration systems, electrical/electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, programmable logic controllers, production machinery, and facilities support equipment.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

§  Inspect and review maintenance activities to monitor compliance with all safety and environmental codes, regulations, permits, and company policies

§  Support System Control Manager for facility refrigeration and controls, water filtration, compressed air, and facility-related systems.

§  Day-to-day facilities maintenance.

§  Perform or support all system-related PMS.

§  Work closely with contractors/ vendors during site visit, scheduling, meeting, and ordering parts

§  Perform from simple to complex design installation, maintenance, fabrication, repair, and modifications of various systems.

§  Apply advanced technical knowledge to the troubleshooting and diagnosis of refrigeration equipment problems.

§  Use current best practices, documentation, and appropriate test equipment to anticipate, identify and isolate unusual systems faults or malfunctions on production and support equipment.

§  Check and repair pumps, fans, pneumatics, controls, and valves.

§  Assist in developing and maintaining a preventive maintenance program.

§  General Maintenance: Perform a variety of general maintenance functions in accordance with blueprints, layouts, schematics of circuits and controls, and written or verbal instructions. Determine the root cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.

§  Work closely with operations for daily scheduling

§  Perform safety inspections on all equipment to ensure safe operating conditions. Immediately report any unsafe conditions found.

§  Perform other duties as requested.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

 

§  High School Diploma.

§  Refrigeration Certification Refrigeration EPA Certification (Universal Preferred).

§  Experience with Airixa, or Process Solution systems a plus.

§  Freon and ammonia refrigeration systems.

§  Experience in programming/troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) is a plus

§  Electrical experience including high voltage, low voltage, and control wiring.

§  Excellent and proven ability to build and maintain cross-functional relationships in a team environment.

§  Strong ability to be hands-on, work independently, and remain self-motivated with minimal direct supervision.

§  Excellent interpersonal skills required to foster cooperation, and teamwork, and to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.

§  Proactive in identifying and/or being a part of teams focusing on continuous improvement and cost reduction.

§  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).

§  Demonstrated knowledge of equipment and manufacturing safety procedures (e.g., lockout/tag out, reading MSDS, incident response procedures, etc.).

§  Able to work extended hours and be flexible with working hours to accommodate business needs and emergencies.

§  Maintain a valid driver's license.

§  Ability to travel to facilities or trainings

§  Ability to read and understand plans and blueprints.

§  Fast-paced cold and wet environment.

§  Food facility requires food-safe behavior.

§  Mitigating issues and conflicts with employees/contractors.

§  Standing, bending, kneeling, and crouching for prolonged periods.

§  Stand for an 8-hour shift.

§  Work in cold conditions from 30°F to 50°F.

§  Make decisions in a high-stress environment.

§  Work with and around conveyors and other moving equipment.

§  Work at heights and confined spaces.

§  Able to lift 25 to 48 pounds to a minimum height of 36 inches.

§  Operating heavy machinery (Forklifts, boom lifts, and scissor lifts).

§  Lifting, pushing, pulling, and grasping while standing and kneeling.

§  Able to perform the essential function of the job with or without accommodation.

 

Position Range: $69,264 - $98,384
