JOB SUMMARY

This position will lead the quality processes and communicate quality information between Quality Assurance (QA) Technicians, supervisors, and other departments when needed. This individual will be a part of the Mission QA team that strives to meet or exceed all specifications and lead the industry in quality. In addition, this position involves a combination of visual monitoring of various aspects of plant operations and physical testing of products.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

§  Lead routine visual and physical inspection of product, sampling and testing product and packaging to ensure the product meets or exceeds standards.

§  Conduct cooler and Fruit temperature recording.

§  Conduct equipment inspections and calibrations.

§  Enter shelf life data recording.

§  Keep track of aging, dry matter, and oil content reports.

§  Import, export, and transfer inspections.

§  Ensure the accuracy of data generated throughout the shift.

§  Assist in continuous improvements of SOPs through regular assessments and training.

§  Recognize and adapt easily to changing priorities.

§  Assist with compiling USDA requests and certificates.

§  Perform all other duties as assigned by QA Supervisor and/or QA Manager.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

§  High School Diploma or 2 years of relevant experience.

§  Ability and willingness to follow SOPs.

§  Ability to be flexible with hours.

§  Effective interpersonal communication skills.

§  Ability to accomplish and manage tasks promptly without constant direct supervision.

§  Ability to work in a fast-pasted environment.

§  Experienced in Microsoft Office.

§  Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

§  Forklift experience preferred.

§  Knowledge of D365/inventory systems preferred.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

§  Ability to lift or move 25 to 50 pounds.

§  Ability to work in a temperature-controlled environment from 34°F – 42°F. 

§  Safely work near moving mechanical parts and equipment.
